Reconstruction at Big Burger V
Rebuilding after Hurricane Ike

In 2008 Hurricane Ike caused severe damage to our building and forced a long closure. The community's support and hard work from our team allowed us to rebuild and reopen on February 15, 2010. This page documents the damage and the reconstruction process that brought Big Burger V back to serving Houston.

We are proud of our history and grateful to our customers who waited patiently while we restored the restaurant. Our focus during reconstruction was safety, improved infrastructure, and preserving the familiar menu and friendly service our guests expect.

If you have photos or memories from the reconstruction period you'd like to share, please visit our Guestbook.
